Conference Registration & Hotel

The Conference of California Bar Associations is pleased to announce its return to the Marriott Marquis San Diego from September 13-16, 2018.  Not only will we debate your submitted resolutions (Friday afternoon through Sunday), but once again we will offer a full schedule of CLE presentations (Thursday afternoon and Friday morning).

There will also be a fabulous Chair’s Reception Friday evening, at which we will have music, a silent auction, and present three awards: the John Van de Kamp Justice through Laws award to Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye, the Legislator of the Year award to Senate Pro Tem Toni Atkins, and the Charles M. Pfeiffer award to Lilys McCoy. Other organizations, including BASF, LACBA, and CLA will also be presenting awards at the Reception.

The “MCLE Only” package is priced at $150. Whether you purchase the “MCLE Only” package or the “Conference+MCLE+Reception” package, please provide your email address and indicate whether you plan to attend the Thursday afternoon and/or Friday morning sessions, and the MCLE materials will be emailed to you.

The “Conference+MCLE+Reception” package has been discounted to $550 for all Early-Bird registrants, who must register by August 10, 2018.  After that date, the package price will be $595, and for walk-ins will be $650.

The “Conference Only” price is $495, and $550 for walk-ins.

“Reception Only” tickets are priced at $80, with a reduced price of $60 for government employees, including judges.

Also, new attendees are invited to select the “Conference+MCLE+Reception” and “Conference Only” options that reflect a $100 discount.  A “new attendee” includes a past delegate who has not attended since 2008, in addition to a first-time delegate.

Chair’s Reception & Celebration of Excellence

When:  Friday, September 14, 2018, 6–8:30 pm

Where: Marriott Marquis San Diego, Coronado Terrace

Price: $80.00/ticket ($60.00 for government employees, including judges).  No purchase necessary for those with the Conference+MCLE+Reception package.

Hosted by this year’s Chair, Phyllis Kupferstein, the annual reception and awards program recognizes leaders and attorneys for their significant contributions to the California legal community and CCBA.

The event will include award presentations by CCBA and other bar organizations, a silent auction, live music, a light dinner and a cash bar.  Award recipients generally briefly address the reception.
